First thing in the morning, after breakfast, school drop off, kitchen clean up and cup of coffee brewing, my little guy and I settle in upstairs in the combined office and play space to get to work. He toddles (or runs at the speed of light, these days) around, making messes, asking questions and being cute. Most days he is quite accomplished at self entertainment, but 2.5 is still intense in neediness. The third time through, I know that this phase will end, though. So, I’ll photograph those cute little toes, stop my progress for book readings and accept all the hugs and kisses he has to give.
