FreeLensed | Day 1

While at Clickaway in Seattle last month, Sarah Wilkerson mentioned a fun product that the Click & Co store had brought along to sell- Lensbenders. I’d never heard of them and never found the time to make my way to the store booth during the conference, but a few weeks ago I was looking for something new to try and freelensing sounded like as good an idea as any! On the first day with the Lensbender I loved how it allowed me to hold the unattached lens steady, but I was having trouble achieving focus in the middle of the frame. I could grab a slice of focus on the far edges of the frame, but unless I was within a few feet of my intended focal point I was unable to achieve middle frame focus with my 50 1.8. Thus ensued hours of research and deliberation. Solution to come in a second post to follow.
