This is an honest set of images. In late October I bought a Mamiya RB 67 ProSD off of ebay, from a deal in Korea, and waited patiently for it to arrive. 4 days later, which seemed incredibly fast for international shipping, I was on YouTube figuring out how to load 120 into a film back. On the first image, a small technical issue prevented the film from advancing, but Google came to the rescue and I was able to fix the problem. The second and third images proved that I still need to be super careful about hand holding at slow shutter speeds, despite the people of Google stating that there is more leniency in film for slow shutters. After that, I began to find a groove with metering and shooting. I love the waist level finder and how slow I have to go in composing and shooting, with this camera. It’s so tactile and involved. Each image matters and I find myself emotionally attached to the images in camera, whereas it usually isn’t until processing that I form my opinions of images when shooting digitally.

How exciting, Meghan :) I’m actually sitting on the thought of that same camera as an alternative to my 6×7 camera. 10 frames is just so few per roll! I hope you fall in love with it.
I just came across the image of your dog in the doorway on a google search for window lit film photography and was just blown away by how striking it is. The colours, the clarity, the texture, it’s absolutely stunning. Amazing work :)
