When I was in high school, my specialty in the kitchen was chocolate chip bar cookies. A few times per month, I’d come home to the empty house, after school, and whip up a batch of chocolatey goodness. I’ve cut back on the frequency of cookie prep, but I’ve found that I have at least one little helper who is willing to take over the tradition, should I choose to hand it down. And when you are the only child that shows up to help, the whole beater is yours. Score!
